Sienna IM Grants €50 Million in Financing to Fintech HERO

  • HERO secures €50 million from Sienna Investment Managers to accelerate SME financing in Europe and strengthen its support capabilities.
  • A strong signal of trust from a renowned financial partner, confirming HERO’s solid business model and its ambition to revolutionize its sector.
  • A strategic expansion plan to broaden access to flexible financing solutions and support business growth in a challenging economic environment.

HERO announces a €50 million debt financing round from Sienna Investment Managers to strengthen its funding offering and support more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across France and Europe. This operation marks a key milestone for the fintech, accelerating its expansion and democratizing access to short-term, flexible, and fast financing solutions. In a challenging economic context, HERO simplifies liquidity access, enabling businesses to secure their cash flow and finance growth with amounts of up to €100,000 over a few months.

This debt financing represents a decisive step for HERO, which, at the end of 2024, obtained its payment institution license and launched its all-in-one business account. This will allow for a greater deployment of its treasury management solutions, particularly through supplier invoice advances.

“This debt financing confirms the strength of our model and the trust placed in us by a major institutional player. It significantly increases our funding capacity, allowing us to support even more business clients in their development,” said Roland Jais-Nielsen, founder and CEO of HERO.

“Our innovation financing funds have been supporting French SMEs and mid-sized companies since 2015. With HERO, we have found a partner perfectly aligned with this mission, thanks to a disruptive all-in-one solution that combines cutting-edge technology and financial expertise. Sienna IM is delighted to support the growth of one of France’s leading fintech companies and contribute to democratizing access to financing for European SMEs,” commented Wissem Bourbia, Director of Corporate Debt Funds at Sienna Investment Managers.

This debt round follows an €11.3 million equity funding led by Valar Ventures and HERO’s recent approval as a payment institution by the ACPR. It confirms HERO’s strong momentum, having already financed over 10,000 clients since its inception, with a total credit volume exceeding €200 million.
