Sienna IM joins forces with the AgroParisTech Foundation by becoming a sponsor of the Ecological Accounting Chair

Convinced of the unique responsibility that financial players bear in the ecological transition, Sienna Investment Managers (Sienna IM) becomes a sponsor of the AgroParisTech Foundation’s Partnership Chair in Ecological Accounting. This five-year partnership will support the Chair’s research and initiatives, leveraging public-interest studies to provide scientific guidance for Sienna IM’s activities.

Established in 2019, the Ecological Accounting Chair aims to analyze and explore the links between accounting and sustainability, develop and model accounting systems, and to promote their role in ecological transformations to support the sustainable transition of organizations and territories.

This strong commitment to sustainability is shared by Sienna IM, whose ESG policy applies both to its operations and to the companies it finances, with a particular focus on biodiversity preservation and climate action. One of its recent initiatives, the Sienna Biodiversity Private Credit Fund[1], is the first fund addressing biodiversity issues through private debt investments in Europe. As part of the sponsorship agreement, Sienna IM will donate a portion of the fund’s management fees to the AgroParisTech Foundation in support of the Chair of Ecological Accounting.

Olivier Guize, President of the AgroParisTech Foundation: “This partnership perfectly illustrates the Foundation’s mission: to build bridges between academic research and economic players to support transitions. We are particularly proud that Sienna IM has chosen our Foundation for this first sponsorship commitment, which aims to define the conditions for a profound and concrete contribution of ecological accounting to these transitions.”

Laurent Dubois, Managing Director – Private Debt, Sienna IM: “We firmly believe that investing in biodiversity helps us preserve our common future, but this requires a rigorous and scientific approach. Our three-way partnership places Sienna IM at the forefront of knowledge and research in sustainable development. This approach allows our management teams to gradually enrich their ESG methodology through scientifically measurable indicators, while also benefiting from the latest insights from top-tier research teams. At the same time, the exchange of experience and the network provided by our teams will feed into the work of the Chair.
